New York City-based musician and producer Deer park has revealed his collaborative new track, ‘Black Cat’ recorded alongside rising singer-songwriter Ivy Knight. The track finds its place somewhere between his cloud rap vocal style and lo-fi production, and the airy, almost folky hooks that Knight brings to the table. On the collaboration, the two say: “Writing and making music together has always been a crucial part of our friendship. It gives us a plane to relate and flesh out memories we’ve shared in ways that can’t be simply discussed. The push and pull between the parts that align and the parts that diverge in our experiences reveal themselves when we write together.” The two artists are signed to Scenic Route and will be performing at a number of showcases around the UK in the coming months. -Dan Peeke
